Our happy sleeper

This morning I heard Adam start to make noises in his crib, so I turned off the monitor in preparation for his wails...but after about 20 minutes I wasn't hearing anything so I got up, peaked in his room and there he was happily spinning his ladybug :)

Zooma women's half marathon

My friend Anne (an avid runner) has been my motivator these past few months to start running again after Adam was born. She got me to do a 5K in April, a 10K in May and finally a half in July. The race was by far the toughest course I have ever run (VERY hilly) but I finished and forgot all the pain when I saw my little man cheering me on with a big smile.

the homestretch
a little motivation from Adam (notice that Anne is already finished :)

A little silliness

Sasha and I just couldn't resist...

Vacation

12 days and about 500 pictures later we are home from our vacation. We had a blast seeing the Leibman/Gerken family and are proud of our little monkey for showing his great personality most days. Here are a few of the highlights from our trip. Some other great highlights can be seen on my sister-in-laws blog

Dads

I am very lucky to have the best dad. He was never afraid to give me a big hug and tell me that he loved me. He loved me unconditionally, attended all my sporting events, and was a great role model in what kind of man I deserve. Recently we made a memory book for my parents and here are a few of the memories I have of my dad growing up...
riding on the tandem with my feet up while you peddle
dancing with you at my wedding
playing basketball in the driveway
going for 5:30am runs at the Y
shopping for jewelry for mom right before Christmas
our Father's day breakfasts in Madison on your way to Klobie
our Boundary Waters trip
your stir fry
meeting you at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C.
eating at P.F. Chang's
coaching my CBA team
camping at Lake Le-Aqua-Na
going to your softball games
walking down the aisle with you at my wedding
watching you shave in the morning while you sang
I am happy to say that I now have the best dad for my kids. Adam is a lucky little boy to have a dad that loves him unconditionally. (His shirt says 'My Dad is Awesome')
